The Beauty journal
Read a beauty supplement page before choosing
Name, ingredients, serving and presentation: four reference points for reading a product page clearly.

Identify, then read
Start with the full name, brand and pack size. Then read the ingredients, which provide details the range name may not contain. Collagen, hair or hyaluronic acid can guide a search, but each reference has its own formula.
Put numbers in context
A quantity may apply to one capsule, one serving or a volume. Check the basis before comparing products. Pack count and the amount of an ingredient are different pieces of information.
Open the product details
Use the page’s accordions to find manufacturer directions, precautions and storage instructions. If a detail is missing, contact the store with the exact product name. Then use the references below to make an informed comparison.
