Buying skincare online: five details to compare
Similar-looking tubes can hide important differences. A product page gives you more to work with than a photograph: follow this comparison route using references from the Beauty catalogue.

Read the full name and size
Start by reading the product name to the end. A rich version, a tinted variant or a different size may distinguish two items in the same range. Uriage Crème d’Eau and Crème d’Eau Riche both appear here in 40 ml, but equal volumes do not make them the same formula. Check the brand and photograph against the exact reference you intended to open.
Look at purpose and ingredients
The description explains the intended use, while the ingredients section provides a different kind of information. Read it carefully if you know an ingredient you need to avoid. Neither a commercial name nor the number of listed ingredients establishes effectiveness. Our separate accordion sections make these details easier to find; also check the packaging when using the product, as formulas can change.
Put the price in context
Compare products intended for a similar need first. The prices of a 30 ml serum and a 40 ml cream do not identify the better purchase on their own. For comparable liquid volumes, divide the price by the millilitres and multiply by 100 to estimate the price per 100 ml. A larger bottle only makes sense if you will use it.
Finish with the directions
Open the Directions and Precautions sections, then confirm the selected size and variant. The three linked references offer a practical exercise in comparison. To explore further, set a budget range and filter by brand in the catalogue. A manageable shortlist makes it easier to read the details that matter before choosing.
