When buying creatine in Morocco, compare its form, pack size and price for the same amount of powder. These practical checks help you assess Applied Nutrition products, understand the Creapure name and make an informed purchase.
Monohydrate: the reference form
Monohydrate is the most studied form of creatine, according to the ISSN position stand. A different name or a higher price does not establish a better result. For more detail, read Creatine monohydrate: what the research says.
“Micronised” describes the fineness of the powder. It does not identify another form of creatine or guarantee greater effectiveness.
Creatine monohydrate or Creapure: what is the difference?
Monohydrate is the form; Creapure® is a brand of that ingredient. Alzchem states that it manufactures Creapure in Germany. The name therefore identifies a brand and supply chain, rather than a different chemical form. Read the Creapure manufacturer’s explanation if you specifically want that reference.
For an unflavoured Applied Nutrition option, the manufacturer’s published formula lists 100% micronised creatine monohydrate. A single-ingredient formula makes comparison straightforward; then choose the pack size that suits your use and budget.
The sources checked do not identify this Applied Nutrition creatine as Creapure. The two names are not interchangeable. Check the name on the packaging if that brand is one of your buying criteria.
250 g or 500 g: comparing the price per serving
Using 5 g of powder as a comparison basis, a 250 g tub contains 50 portions and a 500 g tub contains 100. This calculation compares pack sizes; it does not set your personal dose.
- 250 g tub: tub price ÷ 50 = cost per 5 g.
- 500 g tub: tub price ÷ 100 = cost per 5 g.
Compare Applied Nutrition creatine, 50 servings with Applied Nutrition creatine, 500 g (100 servings). The smaller pack takes up less space; the larger one may offer value if its cost for the same quantity is lower. Use the displayed prices rather than assuming a large tub is always cheaper.
Current prices and availability appear on each product page and in our creatine range in Morocco. You can also browse the wider Applied Nutrition range.
What to check on the 500 g tub
- Net weight, ingredients and serving size: 500 g equals 100 portions when each portion is 5 g.
- The exact product, date, batch number and packaging condition on arrival.
- Any certifications for the actual product and batch purchased. The manufacturer mentions Informed Sport for the unflavoured version; this article does not independently verify your batch.
If you compete in a sport with anti-doping controls, verify the product and batch through the relevant programme. A general statement in an article or photograph does not replace that check.
How to take it
Dose and consistency. The ISSN describes daily intakes of 3–5 g among the approaches used to maintain muscle stores. This is a research reference, distinct from product instructions or individual advice. Follow the label on the tub you receive and seek advice if unsure.
Preparation. Use the amount and liquid specified on the packaging. A scoop measures volume: to check an exact weight, use a suitable scale rather than estimating a heaped scoop.
Loading is not compulsory. A study by Hultman and colleagues observed a more gradual increase in muscle stores with 3 g daily over 28 days. This does not promise identical sporting results or a guaranteed timeline for every person.
What to expect
The evidence discussed by the ISSN includes repeated high-intensity exercise. Creatine does not replace training, meals or recovery; a promise of rapid transformation is not a sound reason to buy.
Body weight may change initially, partly through body water, and cannot by itself measure muscle gain. Changes vary between people.
For questions relevant to female athletes, read Creatine for women: strength, body composition and common misconceptions.
Precautions
Seek advice from a qualified health professional before use by anyone under 18, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a medical condition — particularly a kidney condition — or while taking medication. A supplement does not replace a varied diet. Follow the precautions and storage instructions on your packaging.
